The CSTHA Archive is a massive collection of cruise ship plans, manuals, CAD structural and systems models, and other pertinent technical information, all preserved in high-quality digital form. The subpages contain a listing of ships we have documentation for which are no longer in service, separated by shipyard. Using 'ctrl+f,' you should be able to find any ship using the name given upon her completion (Wikipedia is useful for this). The reason for this is that many ships share the same name, so it is a definitive clarification as to which ship it refers to.
It may come as a surprise that the cruise industry is not focused on historical preservation. Very few cruise industry organizations actually save their old files, and the few that do (usually shipyards) have no plans or policies to publicly release them after the ships have been removed from service and scrapped. The CSTHA serves to fill that gap, and to operate as the entity for storage and preservation across the entire industry.
For all ships here, plans are provided on the understanding that as they are out of service, there are no security restrictions remaining on them. To have a plan removed, email me at wclapper@cstha.org with your name, organization, and reason for removal.
So far, we have only had time to list the ships built at major yards. We also have many ships built at smaller shipyards and can reply to inquiries with the shipyard name and hull number. Please note that we may be unable to provide certain material for a particular ship, as each of our partner organizations and donors have different guidelines for how we are to manage and store their contributions.
EVEN IF YOU HAVE PLANS FOR A SHIP ALREADY LISTED, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE CAN COMPARE DATES. OUR GOAL IS TO MAINTAIN THE MOST COMPLETE RECORD POSSIBLE FOR EVERY SHIP.
